Without waiting to be invited, Anathema slid a reassuring arm around the girl. Her own remembered futures were rarely personal, most of them spread out and happening other people. There was a curiosity that came through them. Like eavesdropping on something significant that meant little to her, so she jotted it down and waited. It had been the same for Agnes, which helped a bit, as did having a decade or so of it under her belt.
"That can happen," she agreed with a nod of her head, scowling at the stone. It was one thing to upend possible futures on people, but to do so without giving them any sort of training was just rude. "But it's all right now. You're here, that's over there. It's a long way off yet."
